Family Friendly Policies (Maternity/Paternity Leave)

The labour Government has focussed a large proportion of its legislative reform on introducing policies that are family friendly these include;

Paternity Leave and Pay, Parental Leave, Adoption Leave, Maternity Leave, an Increase to Statutory Holiday entitlement, Legislation to protect part time workers.

There are plans to increase Paternity Leave and to allow the father to swap with the Mother so that the father may take paid time off to help bring up the child instead of the Mother.

Maternity Leave is also set to increase to a full years leave with Pay.
